REVOLUTION IN ACTION

Hazeltine National Golf Club

Located in Chaska, Minnesota, Hazeltine National Golf Club opened in 1962. It has hosted the U.S. Open in 1970 and 1991. It has hosted the PGA Championship in 2002 and 2009 and in 2016 it hosted the Ryder Cup.

Fairway Trials with Revolution

In the Spring of 2016, Hazeltine Superintendent Chris Tritabaugh worked with Aquatrols representative Larry Lennert to institute Revolution trials on a handful of his fairways. The first monthly Revolution application on demo fairways was made in late April. Both Larry and Chris agreed that starting applications early was key to a successful program.

WALL TO WALL REVOLUTION

Summer 2016

After two applications of Revolution on a few test fairways, Chris and his crew were so impressed with the results that they decided to go wall-to-wall with Revolution in early summer.

The Revolution program in conjunction with all of Chris’ other cultural practices helped produce spectacular conditions throughout the 2016 season, despite stretches of abnormally dry weather spring through mid-summer, and record-setting rain late summer. 

Revolution is now used on all greens, tees, and fairways at Hazeltine National Golf Club.
