Greens Complex West
About Current Turf Conditions
Sprigged in late Spring 2021, the Aura Greens Complex West is a Champion Bermudagrass surface. The greens have been divided equally and are identically treated.
The Aquatrols rootzone consists of a 60% sand and 40% mushroom soil mix. With a depth of 16 inches, the rootzone sits directly above the runoff drains. A 5 mil plastic barrier sits above the imported subgrade.
The USGA portion of the complex consists of an 80% sand and 20% mushroom soil mix. The depth is a shallower 12 inches with a 4 inch layer of pea gravel above the runoff drain. The subgrade is also covered in 5 mil plastic.
Greens Complex East
About Current Turf Conditions
Originally seeded in October 2020, the East Complex was reseeded in April 2021 with a 007 Creeping Bentgrass. These greens have also been divided equally and are identically treated.
The Aquatrols rootzone consists of a 60% sand and 40% mushroom soil mix. With a depth of 16 inches, the rootzone sits directly above the 4” ADS perforated runoff pipes. A 5 mil plastic barrier sits above the imported subgrade. The nominal perc rate is 4”per hour.
The USGA portion of the complex consists of 100% sand. This depth is also a shallower 12 inches with a 4 inch layer of pea gravel above the runoff drain. The subgrade is also covered in 5 mil plastic. The nominal perc rate is 54”per hour.
